Right here in Overton County, Livingston, TN, where their wild bunch of critters turns every day into a real hootenanny. Their quirky shenanigans keep us hoppin’ and even sprinkle some laughs into our routine. On our 28-acre spread, you’ll spot horses, cows, goats, sheep, pigs, mini pigs, ducks, chickens, turkeys, guineas, cats, dogs, and even a rabbit roamin’ around.

Way back 25 years ago, when Rich and I tied the knot, we started with just 3 dogs, a cat that couldn’t figure out climbin’, and a duck too scared of water to know it could fly. Little did I know what we were in for! When our daughter was small, we tossed in a dozen chickens or so, but once we settled on this farm in 2009, the animal count just took off like a runaway tractor. Our first stray was a horse—yep, a horse—that we got back to its owner, but that kicked off the parade of oddballs. Most folks round here might get a stray dog or cat (we’ve had those too), but horses, goats, and cows? That’s Overton County livin’ for ya!
